Education and Experience
Dr. Adam Zhao is an optometrist in Hillsborough, NJ who earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University before completing his Doctor of Optometry with honors at the State University of New York College of Optometry.
His clinical training focused extensively on the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease, along with a wide range of ocular pathologies. A strong advocate for myopia prevention and control, Dr. Zhao specializes in Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) treatment to help patients in Hillsborough and throughout Somerset County achieve clearer vision without surgery.
Dr. Zhao remains active in his profession and community as a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. He has participated in multiple mission trips to underserved countries, providing complimentary eye care to those in need, and volunteers as a compassionate supporter of Special Olympics.
